Mrs. Ethel Beatrice Cross of Geneva, Alabama passed away Monday, May 21, 2012. She was 93.


 Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 23, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Geneva with the Rev. Jim Mashburn officiating. Burial will follow in the Poplar Head United Methodist Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until service time.


 In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Poplar Head United Methodist Church, or Wiregrass Nursing Home Activities Dept. in her memory.


 Mrs. Cross was born October 1, 1918, in Holmes County, Florida to the late Frank and Callie Prescott Kirkland. She was a member of Poplar Head United Methodist Church.


 In addition to her parents, her husband, Elvin Howell Cross, her daughter, Mary Frances Parrish, and her son, Samuel Hugh Cross; two brothers: John Henry Kirkland, and Coy Kirkland; one sister, Mathel Scott, preceded her in death.


 Survivors include her son, Bobbie Ray Cross (Shirley), Westville, Florida; five grandchildren: Loren Cross, Lisa Cross, Linda Griffin (David), Sylvia Barnes (Richard), Tammi Wesley (Ed); ten great-grandchildren: Lance and Justin Barnes, Elizabeth, Emily and Sarah Kathryn Wesley, Dillion Parrish, Lynn Pfalzgraff (Billy), Gracie Adams(Dan), Laci Hayden (Spencer) and Adam Riley (Tiffany); four great great-grandchildren: Griffin and Annabelle Adams and Alyssa and Ava Riley; three sisters: Marie Barlar, Milton Florida, Naomi Trammell, and Lily V. Wilkerson both of Westville, Florida; one brother, Levoy Kirkland, DeFuniak Springs, Florida; several special nieces and nephews.
