HEADLAND. . .Ethel Glynn Riley, a resident of Headland, died Monday morning, April 8, 2019, at her home. She was 90.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 9, 2019, in Gardens of Memory with Reverend Misty Barrett officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside services. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Headland United Methodist Church, 103 West King Street, Headland, AL 36345.
Mrs. Riley was born in New Orleans and moved with her family to California at an early age. She lived in various locations in the United States and Japan while her husband served in the U. S. Navy and U. S. Air Force. She also lived in Mexico Beach, Florida before returning to Headland in 1996. She was a member of the Headland United Methodist Church. Mrs. Riley was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Harold Riley, a son-in-law, Ligon T. Solomon, a sister, Winnifred Huff and two brothers, Thomas Glynn and David Glynn.
Surviving relatives include a daughter, Cheryl Riley Solomon, Headland; two sons, Michael C. Riley (June), Lynn Haven, FL; and Terry G. Riley (Lynn), Headland; nine grandchildren, Chris Solomon, Robin Solomon Robinson (Larry), Kimi Riley, Keri Riley, Kristi Chewning (Loren), Will Riley, Drew Riley, Christie Yeash (Ed), and Amanda Peacock; several great and great-greatgrandchildren.
