EULDINE WILLIAMS HERRING
ABBEVILLE. . .Euldine Williams Herring, a resident of Abbeville, died Sunday morning, April 9, 2017, in the Henry County Health & Rehabilitation Facility. She was 89.
Graveside services will be held at 4:30 P.M. Tuesday, April 11, 2017, in the Union Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Joey Hudspeth officiating. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:00 P.M. Tuesday at the mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Union Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Carol Johns, 206 Briarhill Road, Abbeville, AL 36310.
Mrs. Herring was born and reared in Henry County, daughter of the late John Allen Williams and Ruby Brady Williams. A lifelong resident of Abbeville, she was a member of the Adoniram Baptist Church. In earlier years, Mrs. Herring was employed by the City of Abbeville Police Department as a Dispatcher. Mrs. Herring was preceded in death by her husband, James Rufus (Pete) Herring, a son, Roger Herring, two sisters, Doris Barnette and Betty Sue Farmer, and a brother, Robert Williams.
Surviving relatives include three sons, Mickey Herring, Dothan; Joseph P. “Bodie” Herring (Jackie), Eufaula; and Jeff Herring, Abbeville; a daughter-in-law, Sheila Herring, Abbeville; grandchildren, Michele Wagner (Jason), Marcie Kelly (Warren), Hunter Herring, Clay Herring, Joseph Herring, Philip Herring (Meg), Chase Herring, Christopher Herring (Mallory), Heather Blalock (Josh), and Jennifer Simmons (Dwight); fourteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Serving as active pallbearers will be the grandsons.
