DOTHAN . . . Evelyn Hamm Miller, a resident of Dothan, died Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at her home. She was 92.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 22, 2017, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend George Bryan officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the mortuary.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Covenant Care, 1512 West Main Street, Dothan, AL 36301.
Mrs. Miller was a native of Columbia and lived in Dothan since 1955. She was retired from Ansell as a machine operator. In earlier years, she worked in Houston County School lunchrooms. Mrs. Miller was a homemaker, a great cook, and loved to fish and hunt. She was a member of the Smyrna Baptist Church. Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her father, Willie Walden Hamm, her mother, Maudie Ruth Murphy Hamm, her husband, Wade Rudolph Miller, a son-in-law, Frank Cook, two sisters, Edna Carpenter and Ruth Steed, and two brothers, Earnest Hamm and Buford Hamm.
Surviving relatives include two daughters, Jackie Cook, Dothan; and Kay Rucks (Mike), Ashford; a son, Tony Miller, Dothan; four grandchildren, Michelle Patterson, Christy Cook, Keith Cook, and Amanda Sue Miller; five great-grandchildren, Tracey Patterson, Ranzie Hendrickson, Jada Miller, Ayden Miller, and M.J.; a great-great granddaughter, Adelyn Sage Cureton; a niece, Barbara Morris, nephews, Kenneth Davidson, Floyd Hamm, and Dickie McNeal, and extended family members, Buddy Williams and Michael Jowers.
