Evelyn Mary O’Connor, 85, a resident of Dothan passed away Sunday August 5, 2012 at her residence.

Ms. O’Connor was born August 2, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan and moved to Brooklyn, New York at an early age and lived there till she was 19. Mrs. O’Connor lived in West Orange, New Jersey for fourteen years. She resided to Scottsdale, Arizona prior to moving to Dothan where she has lived for the past 30 years. She was employed as a homemaker and volunteered for RSVP. She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time at the library. She loved cats. She was a member of St. Columba Catholic Church.

She is survived by her children, a son Craig O’Connor of Willow Grove, PA and daughter Kathleen O’Connor of Omaha, NE; five grandchildren, Ryan Miller, Amy Wood, Katie O’Connor, Sarah O’Connor and Colleen O’Connor; a brother George McMurray (Ann) of Dothan, AL and a nephew Brian McMurray.
