ABBEVILLE…Evelyn Parrish Cash, a resident of Abbeville, formerly of Newville, died Saturday, May 25, 2019, in a Dothan hospital. She was 92.
Graveside services will be held 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, May 29, 2019, in Gardens of Memory with Chaplain (Colonel, U.S. Army, Retired) James “Dusty” Gray officiating. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of the arrangements. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 10:15 A.M. Wednesday at the mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dogwood Manor Assisted Living, 301 Ward Drive, Abbeville, AL 36310.
Mrs. Evelyn Cash was born in Dale County and reared near Newville, daughter of the late Willie W. Parrish and Tency Peacock Parrish. She lived in various locations in the U.S. and overseas while her husband served in the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force. She also formerly lived in Maryland and Gadsden before returning to the Concord Community in 1982. She was a member of Concord Baptist Church. Mrs. Cash is preceded in death by her husband, Bland B. Cash, a daughter-in-law, Susan Cash, three brothers, L.R. Parrish, Raymond Parrish and Bill Parrish.
Surviving relatives include a daughter, Sharon Jeanine Christian (Rodger), Culpeper, VA; three sons, Richard Cash (Trina), Memphis, TN, Lawrence Cash (Christina), Houston, TX, and David Cash, Eufaula; a sister, Mernette Bayne, Headland; two brothers, Harold Parrish (Yvenette), Birmingham, and Connie M. Parrish (Janara), Newville; ten grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
