Mr. Ewell “Jack” Heath of Coffee Springs, AL, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024, at his home. He was 86.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Marvin Chapel Assembly of God church with Sister Amy Parrish and Rev. Greg Lay officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home directing. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to Marvin Chapel Assembly of God church cemetery fund. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 10 a.m.
Mr. Jack was born May 07, 1937, in Coffee County, AL to the late James Aaron and Ada Bell McIntosh Heath. He was a man who loved the outdoors, farming, raising cattle, driving his tractor and watching things grow. He enjoyed buying a piece of ground, clearing it off and watching it take shape. He believed in taking “nothing” and making something beautiful out of it. He loved his family, friends and neighbors. Mr. Jack had a heart of gold and a giving, unselfish spirit of helping many in times of need.
In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by two sisters, Willie and Essie Mock, four brothers, B.J., Dan, Sr., Horace and Cliff Heath: niece and nephews, Gwendolyn Heath, Jimmy Heath, Dan Heath, Jr., Danny Mock and Mike Mock.
Mr. Jack is survived by special nieces and nephews, Shirley Bowdoin (Bob) of Coffee Springs, AL, Bobbie McIntosh of Enterprise, AL, Dana Heath and Jimmy Shiver (Bonzie), all of Geneva, AL, Joe Heath (Debbie) of Enterprise, AL and Eddie Mock (Barbara) of Coffee Springs, AL; and a number of other special family and close friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Brian Massey, B.J. Massey, Wade Bowdoin, Shane Heath, Shannon Heath, Johnny Hughes, and Buster Shiver.
