Comer Harrison, 82, a resident of Enterprise, AL passed away on Monday, December 19, 2011 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Ralph Jones and Rev. Leon Adams officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M.
Mr. Harrison served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a local business owner for many years, “a salesman that would never quit” and an ordained minister in rural areas of the Wiregrass. He was a proud member of the Mason’s and Shriner’s clubs and loved his children and family with all his heart.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda C. Harrison, his parents, Robert Lee (Bob) and Addie Lee Jones Harrison, two brothers, Johnny Harrison , Bob Jr. Harrison and, two sisters, Allie Pearl Grantham and Louise Wambles.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Martha Colene Cooley Harrison; two sons, Francis Comer Adams, Houston, TX; Fletcher Comer Harrison, Jr. (Bubba), Dothan; four daughters, Nancy Harrison Clark, Dothan; Liz Harrison Scearce and husband, Jim Scearce, Memphis, TN; Barbara Harrison, Dothan; Kathy Harrison Hamrick and husband, Rodney, Dothan; grand-daughters, Nikki Harrison Sizemore, Lafayette, LA; Lauren and Alexandra Scearce, Memphis, TN; grandsons, Shane Still and Cody Clark, Dothan; sister, Marie Chancey, Enterprise; numerous nieces and nephews.
