BAINBRIDGE, GEORGIA. . .Floradell Carpenter Chase, a resident of Bainbridge, Georgia, died Wednesday afternoon, February 8, 2017, in the Memorial Hospital & Manor in Bainbridge. She was 86.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. (C.S.T.) Friday, February 10, 2017, in the Holman Headland Mortuary Chapel with Dr. Barry Sadler officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory, between Headland & Dothan. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 P.M Friday at the mortuary in Headland.
Mrs. Chase was a native of Dale County and was reared in Columbia, Alabama, daughter of the late Daniel Washington Carpenter and Mary Eddie Scott Carpenter. She lived in Bainbridge for many years where she was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Mrs. Chase was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Earl Chase, a sister, Addie Mae Ham, and five brothers, Lunie Carpenter, Marion Carpenter, Boyd Carpenter, Hillie Carpenter and Davie Carpenter.
Surviving relatives include two daughters, Brenda Starling (Earl), Bainbridge, GA; and Ramona Dell Dean (Billy), Weaver, AL; a son, Jimmy Earl Chase, Unadilla, GA; six grandchildren, Adam Starling, Crystal Vaughn (Eric), Zachary Starling (Chiellcie), Christopher Wilson (Marjorie), JaCee Smith (Ronnie) and Jammie Lynn Fontenot; seventeen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
