Florence Ellenburg Hughes of Westville, FL passed away Monday, October 26, 2020 at her home surrounded by family. She was 70 years old.
Funeral services will be Friday, October 30, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Olive Assembly of God church of New Hope, FL with Rev. Wayne Brannon officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva, AL directing. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the church. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to the Mozelle Ellenburg Love Offering Fund, 1371 Hwy 179-A Westville, FL 32464.
Florence was born June 24, 1950 in Enterprise, AL to the late Charles Ralph and Mozelle Dady Ellenburg. She was a loving mother and grandmother and was devoted to her family. She was a faithful member of Mt. Olive Assembly of God church. She was a 1968 graduate of Bethlehem High School. Florence retired from Hardee’s as the manager and loved her community and served it
well. She took great pleasure in working with and training many kids over the years. She gave jobs and training to many high school students over her career with Hardee’s.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Ronnie D. Hughes and one brother, Robert Douglas Ellenburg.
Survivors include two daughters and son in laws, Alicia H. Brown (Huie) of Westville, FL, Brandy H. Dorriety (Brandon) of Geneva, Al, three grandchildren, Tori B. Johnson(Jamie)of Geneva ,AL, Joseph Brown of Westville, FL, and Brenna Dorriety Geneva, AL; two great-grandchildren, Brayden and Wyatt Johnson both of Geneva AL, one brother, Ralph Ellenburg. Jr. (Janet) Westville, FL, special aunt, Jean Ellenburg of Dothan, AL, nieces and nephews, Michael Ellenburg of Westville, FL, Lori Ellenburg of Santa Rosa Beach, FL, Wade Ellenburg (Nikki) of Westville, FL, Amie Thompson (Josh) and Eric Chancy all of Westville, FL and Dean Cotton of Jacksonville, FL.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Michael Ellenburg, Wade Ellenburg, Chris Ellenburg, Scott Ellenburg, Chase Griffin and Eric Chancy.
