Floy Bell “Gram” Seidler of Ashford, Al died Sunday, November 20, 2011, following a brief illness. She was 92.


 


Graveside services will be held at 2 P.M. Wednesday, November 23, 2011, at Old Friendship Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Ashford with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the residenc at 103 Bruner St. in Ashford.


 


In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wiregrass Humane Society, 255 Jerry Dr. Dothan, AL 36303 or ASPCA at www.aspca.org.


 


Gram was born April 13, 1919, in Ashford, AL, to Richard and Nancy Gashaw. She was known for her devotion to her family and dedicated her life to helping raise her grandchildren, Todd and Sandy. She enjoyed quilting, reading, gardening, growing flowers, and was admired for her beautiful yard. She also had a special place in her heart for animals, especially her cats, that she lovingly cared for.


 


In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Nancy Dupree Burchett, two sisters, Beatrice Hickman and Linnie Smith, and three brothers, Floyd Gashaw, Virgil Gashaw, and Ray Gashaw.


 


Survivors include one grandson, Todd Burchett, of Ashford and one granddaughter, Sandy Burchett Stewart and her husband, Tom of Land ‘O Lakes, Florida, nephew, James Lee White, Montgomery; nieces, Dorothy Kornegay, Ashford, Joyce Faye White, Palm Beach, FL; and Wilma Joyce Brown, Orlando, FL.
