Frances J. Newsome Harrison of Samson, AL passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Wiregrass Medical Center in Geneva. She was 86.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 26, 2017 at Hartford City Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Eddins officiating and Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made to Samson Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 22, Samson, AL 36477.

Mrs. Harrison was born in Coffee County, AL to the late Cyril Denton and Genary Frances McDaniel Newsome. She was of the Assembly of God Faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Harrison; two sisters and five brothers.

She is survived by two sisters, Helen Ketchum Gano of Enterprise, AL, and Mary Gilley of Samson, AL; a number of special nieces, nephews and extended family.
