HEADLAND. . .Frances Lewis Bostick, age 92, a resident of the Tumbleton Community of Henry County, died late Sunday morning, September 28, 2014, at her home.


            Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 30, 2014, in the Tolbert Baptist Church with Reverend Larry Elliott and Reverend Mark Brantley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Holman-Headland Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements. The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 P.M. Tuesday in the sanctuary of the Tolbert Baptist Church.


            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tolbert Baptist Church, c/o Steve Parrish, 645 County Road 122, Headland, AL 36345.


            Mrs. Bostick was born and reared in Dale County, daughter of the late John Lewis and Dora Harris Lewis. She lived in Headland before moving to the Tumbleton Community in 1954. Mrs. Bostick was a member of the Tolbert Baptist Church and participated in the Haleburg Senior Citizens Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Bostick, and fourteen sisters and brothers.


            Surviving relatives include four daughters, Martha F. Bostick, Houston,TX; Gayle B. Marshall, Dothan; Patricia B. Hall (Charles L. Hammond, Jr.), Coconut Grove, FL; and Eugenia B. Hawkins (James), Port Orange, FL; six grandchildren, Mike Marshall (Jo Ann), Mitch Marshall, Marty Marshall (Cindy), Chris Hall (Alana), Matt Brownsberger (Shajira), and Jon Brownsberger, ten great-grandchildren.


            Serving as active pallbearers will be the grandsons.


            The family would like to express their appreciation to Mrs. Bostick’s caregivers for the past seven months, Evernice McDaniel, Rhoda Granberry, Lois Huff, Diane Brown and also AlaCare Hospice, including Angela Armstrong, Terresa McCloud, Pam Morrow, Jill Brinkley, and Phillip Durr for loving care and kindness shown to Mrs. Bostick during her illness.
