Frank Edward "Buddy" Glover

Frank Edward "Buddy" Glover, a lifelong resident of Midland City, AL, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2023, at the age of 65. Born on September 1, 1957, to Willie Edward Glover and Mary Katie Lomanack Glover, both of whom predeceased him, Buddy was a beloved figure in the community, known for his adventurous spirit, handy skills, and kind heart.

Buddy was a devoted family man, survived by his significant other, Glenda Cherry Glover, and his son, Justin Robinson. He was predeceased by his son, Devin Glover. Buddy was a proud grandfather to Trysten and Drew Robinson, and Mason, Torie, Chyanne, and Deserae Robinson. He also leaves behind his siblings, Evelyn Ammons, Linda Sue Glover, and Eugene Glover and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings Patricia Childree, Willie Glover, and Elizabeth Fortuna.

At the tender age of 16, Buddy began his lifelong career in farming. His love for the land was evident in the way he nurtured his crops and animals. His strong work ethic and dedication to his craft made him a respected figure in the farming community. His farm was not just a place of work, but a gathering spot for family and friends, where many fond memories were created.

Buddy was a man of many interests, but his passion for the outdoors was unmatched. He was an avid fisherman, always looking forward to his next catch, whether it was in a local pond or out at sea. His adventurous spirit also led him to hunting, with deer and hogs being his preferred game. These hobbies were more than just pastimes for Buddy; they were a way for him to connect with nature and share his love for the outdoors with his family and friends.

Those who knew Buddy will remember him as a man who was always ready to lend a helping hand. His handy skills were well-known in the community, and he was often called upon to fix a broken fence or help with a home improvement project. His kindness extended beyond his handy skills, as he was always there to offer a comforting word or a shoulder to lean on.

Buddy's adventurous spirit, his love for his family and his community, and his kind and helpful nature will be deeply missed. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. His legacy will continue to inspire those who follow in his footsteps, reminding them of the importance of family, hard work, and a love for the great outdoors.

In remembering Buddy, we celebrate a life well-lived, a man well-loved, and a legacy that will continue to inspire. Rest in peace, Frank Edward "Buddy" Glover, you will be dearly missed.
