Fred Allen Andrews, 76, of 5687 Highway 216 S., Arlington, GA 39823, passed away late Friday night, October 13, 2017 at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center. His funeral will be held Tuesday morning, October 17,2017 at 11 AM in the Arlington Baptist Church with Rev. Ryan Mason and Dr. Gary Hadden officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Arlington Georgia with a Masonic Rites Service. Active pallbearers will be Bob McLendon, John Ray Stout, Charles Mathis, Tommy Davis, Mike Newberry and John McMurria. Honorary pallbearers will be Mac Gaines, Chuck Cowart, Bill Bryan, Bill Jordan, Bill Halford, Jimmy Webb, Wesley Webb, Rodney Joiner, Fred Ayres, Frankie Williams and Mickey White. The family will receive friends for a visitation Monday evening, Oct. 16, 2017 from 6 until 8 pm in the Hangar at Bruce’s Flying Service, Hwy 216 S. Arlington, GA. 39813. Mr. Fred was born in Dale County, Alabama on November 26, 1940 to the late John Winston Andrews and Estelle Gayles Andrews. Other than his parents, Fred was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Angela Gayle Andrews; a sister; Sara Kornegay and by 2 brothers; Thomas and Eddie Andrews. He was the former owner of Farm Air Service, an associate of Bruce’s Flying Service, Past-President of both the GAAA and the SEAF, a member of both the Arlington and the Blakely Masonic Lodges and a member of the Hasan Shrine Temple in Albany, GA., a member of the Half-A-Hundred Club and he was of the Baptist Faith. His survivors include his wife, Glenda Harris Andrews of Arlington, GA, a daughter, Tammy Andrews of Blakely, GA and a son, Bruce Andrews of Arlington, Ga. He has a sister, Barbara Williams of Dothan, AL, 3 brothers; J. W. Andrews and Lou Vera of Midland City, AL, Gerald Andrews and Doris and Larry Andrews and Martha all of Dothan, AL.There are 3 grandchildren; Keely Caul and Scott of Las Vegas, NV, Patrick Andrews of Bluffton, GA and Natalie Smith of Blakely, Ga. and 2 great grandchildren; Rylen and Elle Caul of Las Vegas, NV.
