Mr. Fred George Gillman, affectionately known as “Bo”, of Enterprise, AL went home to be with his Lord and Savior on October 2, 2020. He was 83 years old and was a former resident of Darlington, FL.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 6 at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Terry Smith officiating and Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Gillman was born in Leonia, FL on August 22, 1937 to the late George Leonard “Coot” Gillman and Callie Angeline “Annie” (Padgett) Gillman. He was a meat cutter by trade, and he owned and operated his own meat processing plant.
Mr. Gillman served as a deacon for over 60 years. He was a faithful servant of the Lord.
He retired from the Walton County Road and Bridge Department after many faithful years of service. He and his late wife, Jeanette, enjoyed taking trips to the mountains. They once made a special trip to Dollywood to buy a wagon to bring back to their home in Darlington, Florida. Bo enjoyed spending time with his horses and riding his wagon. He was also an avid Florida Gators fan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Jeanette Gillman; and two brothers, Roy Gillman and Willard “Bill” Gillman.
He is survived by three daughters, Janice Nobles (Barry) of Port St. Joe, FL, Wanda Macdonald (Todd) of Lynn Haven, FL, and Tanya Counts (Mickey) of Enterprise, AL; three sisters, Willie Mae Nelson of Huntsville, AL, Carleen Paul (Melvin) of Westville, FL, Edith Paul of Westville, FL; one brother, Glenn Gillman (Teresa) of Westville, FL; seven grandchildren, Krista Nobles of Tullahoma, TN, Cody Nobles (Amy) of Port St. Joe, FL, Kayla Bradley (Tim) of Enterprise, AL, Kathryn Sleeth (Connor) of Orlando, FL, Victoria Counts of Enterprise, AL; Cameron MacDonald of Montgomery, AL, and Olivia Counts of Enterprise, AL; three great-grandchildren, Stella Grace Nobles, Ryleigh Nobles, and Spencer Bradley; and many special nieces and nephews.
