Fred Malcolm “Mac” Milner, 72, a resident of Dothan, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2024, following an extended illness.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 15, 2024, at Bethlehem Baptist Church (416 Bethlehem Road, Midland City, AL 36350) with Pastor Paul Edenfield officiating and Glover Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. on Monday prior to service time. At other times the family will be at the residence, 1340 Chickasaw Street, Dothan.
Flowers are being accepted or memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, “Respite Care”, 1380 West Main Street, Dothan, Alabama, 36303.
Mac was born December 12, 1951, in Cuthbert, Georgia to Fred and Geraldine McPherson Milner and lived his younger years in Graves, Georgia. In the early 1950’s he and his family moved to Dothan. He along with his brother, Marvin, owned and operated Buddy’s Plumbing and Electric for over 40 years. Mac loved the outdoors and enjoyed spending time with friends at the lake. He enjoyed woodworking and was a talented musician who could play anything. He loved spending time with his grandchildren who held a special place in his heart. Mac was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
He is predeceased by his parents, Fred and Geraldine Milner.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Judy Milner of Dothan; two sons, Chris Milner (Brenda) and Evan Milner (Molly), all of Dothan; a brother, Marvin Milner (Lois) of Dothan a sister, Mavis Webb (Lonnie) of Ozark; six grandchildren, Caroline Hall (Tommy) of Midland City, Olivia Ryals (Cade) of Midland City, Ross Milner (Paetyn) of Pinckard, Mary-Scott Milner, Alyssa Maske (Colby) of Hoover and Ashley Trimnel (Ben) of Maynard, Massachusetts; two great-grandsons, Benton Hall and arriving in May, new baby, Ridge Milner; several nieces and nephews also survive.
