Fredna Boyd Patton Harbuck, exchanged her earthly wings for her heavenly wings on Sunday July 04, 2021.
Fredna’s only child, Michael Boyd Patton was with her at Southeast Health and gently placed her in the arms of her Lord and Savior, around 4:00 P.M.
Fredna loved her Lord, her church, her family and her friends. She was a lifetime member of Southside Baptist Church for her 78 years. She and her dad, Fred Boyd were in attendance at the very first Sunday School meeting of Southside Baptist Church in 1946. Fredna faithfully attended and participated in many areas of ministry at Southside to include: choir, church greeter, VBS helper, prayer team, hostess committee, homebound ministry and one of her favorites, Game Day for Seniors.
Her life was riddled with some physical impairments, but she still tackled them all with a smile, grace, and an abounding love. She leaves a “legacy of love” for those she loved and those who loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Ann Richardson Boyd Whitehead, and widowed by Willard Patton (Michael’s dad) and James Harbuck
She is survived by her only child, Michael Boyd Patton (Mendi); a forever sister, Renee Boyd Heffner (Pat); a dedicated niece, Cherie Matheny Chason (John); two great nephews, Coates and Carson Chason; a special (brother like) uncle, Clifton Eugene Boyd, Phoenix, Arizona; many loving cousins and friends; and her special companion dog, Rocky.
