G. Ross Kennedy, 72, of Dothan passed away Thursday, May 16, 2013 in Northside Hospital, Cumming, Georgia.

Funeral services will be held 10 am Monday, May 20, 2013 at Ridgecrest Baptist Church with Rev. Ray Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Sylvan Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 4-6 pm Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Sylvan Grove United Methodist Church, c/o Wyndle Enfinger, 3991 County Rd. 73, Midland City, AL, 36350.

Ross was born December 9, 1940 in Phenix City, AL and lived the early part of his life in Midland City. He graduated from Midland City High School and was also a graduate of Auburn University with a degree in Accounting. He was employed with McDaniel and Associates for over 47 years. Ross was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Olba Kennedy, a son Glynn Ross Kennedy, Jr., and 2 sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret Norris Kennedy of Dothan; children, Trey and Tonya Norris of Dothan, Brandon and Christy Norris of Sugar Hill, GA, Jennifer and Devin Bowman of Marietta, GA, David and Maureen Hearn of Marietta, GA, and Kim Kennedy of Dothan; 13 grandchildren; a brother Paul Kennedy.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jere Segrest, David Dulaney, Ben Paramore, Johnny Middlebrooks, Ron Moates, and Wyndle Enfinger.
