            Gabriel Ross Medina, a resident of Oakland, California, died Tuesday, July 28, 2015. He was 46.

            A Celebration of Life will be held from 6:30 P.M. until 8:30 P.M. Tuesday, September 1, 2015, in the former Koinonia Café on the Headland Town Square.

            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to PET Rescue (Maine Coon Adoptions), c/o Nancy Huneke, 565 Kenmore Avenue, Oakland, California 94610 or online at www.mainecoonadoptions.com.  

            G.R., as he was lovingly known, was born in Seville, Spain on July 21, 1969, preventing his mother from watching the first man to walk on the moon. He moved all over the world, but always said Oakland felt most like home.  At the time of his death, G.R. was employed with Wells-Fargo Bank in the corporate office in the IT Department. He loved cats, sci-fi, craft beer, photography, gadgets, cheese, live music, the coast, the group Journey, and most of all, the Pittsburgh Steelers, his friends and family.

            Surviving relatives include his parents, Gabriel L. and Donna S. Medina, Headland, AL and close friends of the family, Betty and Peter Ryan, Headland.
