ABBEVILLE. . . Gail Rollins, a resident of Abbeville, died Friday, October 1, 2021, in a Dothan hospital. She was 66.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 5, 2021, in Abbeville Memorial Cemetery-East with Reverend Joey Hudspeth officiating and eulogies to be given by class members. The family will receive friends following the graveside services. Social distancing & mask guidelines will be observed. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hosital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Gail Rollins was a lifelong resident of Abbeville, daughter of the late James Leslie Rollins, Sr. and LaVerne Blalock Rollins. She was a 1974 graduate of Abbeville High school. Gail was affiliated with the Union Free Will Baptist Church. She was formerly employed at the Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant as an Administrative Assistant in the training department. She was preceded in death by a son, Leslie Dean Rollins, a brother, James Leslie Rollins, Jr., and a great-nephew, Coby Jeremy Allums.
Surviving relatives include a sister, Wanda Lisenby, Hixson, TN; a brother, George Rollins (Patty), Boerne, TX; aunts, Winona Eckley and Elizabeth Matthews; several nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and great-nephews; special caregivers, Yvonne Whitehead and a niece, Heather McBrayer.
