OZARK. . .Gary Reed Herring, a resident of Ozark, died Monday afternoon, April 25, 2022, in Oakview Manor. He was 68.

There are no funeral or memorial services planned at this time. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Vivian B. Adams School, 2047 Stuart Tarter Road, Ozark, AL 36360.

Reed Herring was a native of Broward County, Florida and moved to Ozark in the early 1970’s. He attended Vivian B. Adams School in Ozark. Reed was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Ellis Herring and his mother, Jennie Thompson Lindeman.

Surviving relatives include his sister, Teresa Herring Young, two brothers, Frank Herring and Jerry Herring, all of Ozark.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Oakview Manor, especially Darlene, Rhonda and Pam, for the loving care and kindness shown to Reed during his illness.
