Genevieve “Jeanie” Robeson, 78, went home to be with the Lord surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, March 31, 2019 in Dothan. She was born on October 9, 1940 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to the late Lester Lansford and Gladys Lansford (Frerking).


 


Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 from 5 PM – 7 PM at Ward Wilson Funeral Home and on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at First Presbyterian Church of Dothan from 1:30 PM until funeral service at 2:30 PM.  A private burial will take place at Memory Hill Cemetery.


 


Jeanie was a loving wife of 57 years to her beloved husband Jim Robeson, and a mother, grandmother, and sister.  Jeanie was a devoted Christian Lady who loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She taught four years of school in St. Louis. Jeanie loved music, reading books, playing the piano by ear, and going to the beach. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church for over 48 years where she taught Sunday School, children’s choir, and sang in the church choir.


 


Beside her husband Jim, she is survived by her children: Jim Robeson, Jr. (Jennifer), Tracy Whitner (Steve), April Denton, and Tiffany Engelhuber (Rich), sister: Carolyn Ward (Jerry), grandchildren: Christy, Allison, and Courtney Robeson, Stephanie, Michael, and Rachel Whitner, and Jake Denton.


 


In Lieu of flowers: Memorial contributions can be made to: First Presbyterian Church Youth Mission Fund or First United Methodist Church Respite Care Ministry.
