George Coleman “Bud” Hall of Geneva passed away on Friday, June 7, 2019 at his home. He was 82 years old.


Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, June 10, 2019 in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva with Bro. Troy Alberson officiating. Burial will follow in Geneva City Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday beginning at 2:00 p.m.


Mr. Hall was born on October 24, 1936 in Geneva, AL to the late John D. and Emma Reece Hall. He was a family man, hard worker, and a great carpenter. He loved animals, people, and the community he lived and worked in. Mr. Hall retired from Fleming Foods in Geneva after many years of dedicated service.


In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Joan Hall; one great-great granddaughter, Emery Reece Sasser; five sisters, Dovie Johnson, Mavis McLaney, Eloise Bowers, Reba Alberson, and Ouida Alberson; three brothers, John D., Frank, and Buster Hall.


He is survived by two daughters, Kathy Driver (David) of Geneva, and Debbie Goodson (Mitchell) of Geneva; three grandchildren, Joey Dady (Jessica) of Black, April Mitchem (Paul) of Milton, FL, and Paul Goodson (Kristen) of Dothan; six great grandchildren, Trent Sweeney (Lindsay), Britany Sasser (Zach), Alan Mitchem (Emily), Hank Dady (Ashlea), Ellie Goodson, and Jack Goodson; one great-great grandson on the way, Owen Sweeney; and several nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.


Serving as pallbearers will be: Paul Goodson, Trent Sweeney, Alan Mitchem, Hank Dady, Paul Mitchem and Zach Sasser.


Honorary pallbearers will be: Steve McLaney and Jerry McClain.
