George LaDon “Donny” Melvin passed away suddenly on December 15, 2020. He was 59 years old.
A memorial service in his honor will be held 11 am on Monday, December 21, 2020 at Sunset Funeral Home chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
Donny was born on October 6, 1961 in Houston County. Donny was a fun and loving man who enjoyed spending time with his family. He was known for singing, playing guitar, and cheering on the Crimson Tide. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Teresa Melvin; His children, Kristy Everheart (Matthew Chinn), Ashley Melvin (Andrew Cooley), and Justin Melvin; two grandchildren, Damion Everheart and Natalie Williamson; two siblings, Ian and Damie Melvin; and a host of extended family and friends.
