George Maurice “Reese” Osborn


George Maurice “Reese” Osborn of Dothan, Al., passed away Monday, March 23, 2015 at the Doctors Hospice of Georgia in Fayetteville, Ga. He was 47 years of age.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March­­ 28, 2015 in the chapel of Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home in Ozark, Al. with Rev. Charles Goldsmith officiating and Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 pm until 1:45 pm prior to the service on Saturday.

Mr. Osborn was born in Knoxville, Tn., to George Osborn Jr. and Shirley Ann Ramadan. He was a graduate of Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service, and then began his career in the funeral industry. Reese served many families during his 20 plus year career. He went on to become the manager of Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home and has served the Ozark community for the last five years. 

Reese was preceded in death by his grandparents, George Osborn Sr. and Lillie Osborn Webber, Mayford Alexander and Rev. Hazel Elizabeth Brewer.

He is survived by his parents; his sister, Sheree Jeanene Benner (Franklin) of Peachtree City, Ga.; his brother, Joel “Joey” Hassan Ramadan (Megan) of Trussville, Al.; his nephew and nieces, Dakota and Lilyan Benner and Harper and Paris Ramadan, and a host of extended family and dear friends.
