George Talmadge Baker, a longtime resident of Dothan, passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at Courtyard Healthcare Center in Marianna, Florida. He was 87.

Graveside funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 4, 2023 at Crestlawn Memorial Cemetery (Avon) with Pastor Troy West officiating and Glover Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service.

Mr. Baker was born December 14, 1935 in Crawfordville, Florida to George and Lottie Mae Vickers Baker. He was a supervisor at Sunshine Jr. Food Stores for many years and was a Mason.

He is predeceased by his parents, his wife, Louise Baker and several siblings.

Survivors include a son, Bobby Joe Baker (Delane) of Lafayette, TN and a daughter, Charlotte Baker of Lone Tree, CO; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several step-children and step-grandchildren.
