George Terry Brabham, of Ozark, passed away Thursday July 6, 2017 at a local hospital. He was 61.


Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 10, 2017 at Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Ozark, Alabama with Rev. Jim Hill and Rev. Kenneth Hale officiating. Burial will follow in New Teamon Baptist Church Cemetery in Slocomb, AL with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 2-4:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home.


Terry was born on April 14, 1956 in Troy, Alabama and lived in New Brockton the early part of his life. He was a graduate of New Brockton High School and received his Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree in Education from Troy State University. He was employed with the Ozark City School System for 12 years prior to working with Montgomery Public Schools for 5 years. He was also employed as a Photography Instructor with Enterprise Junior College for 3 years. He later owned and operated a computer repair company and Sneek-a-Peek Photo and Video. Terry was an active member of the Troy University Alumni Association as well as a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church where he played the bass guitar for Sunday morning services. He loved the Lord and lived his life to glorify Him.


Survivors include his wife of 32 ½ years, Sandra Tew Brabham; his sisters, Elizabeth Pike and Erline Barrett; mother-in-law, Doris Tew; sisters-in-law, Cathy Harrison and Donna (Ronald) Duffell; brother-in-law, Gene (Patty) Tew; nieces and nephews, Beverly Pike, Mike (Brooke) Quiller, Clay (Catherine) Tew, and Leslie (Will) Mathis; several great nieces and great nephews; special friends, Johnny and Barbara Anderson, Jimmy and Joy Anderson, Gaynelle Anderson, Josh (Lyndsey) Anderson, Chad (Dana) Anderson, Jeremy (Amanda) Anderson, and Emily Anderson.


Serving as pallbearers will be Jerry Byrd, Van Bradshaw, Gene Tew, Clay Tew, Michael Quiller, and Gerald Watson.
