GEORGE  W. (BILL)  BROWN,  SR.

 

DOTHAN. . .George William (Bill) Brown, Sr., a resident of Trawick Road, Dothan, died Thursday morning, February 16, 2012, in a Dothan hospital, after a short illness. He was 80.

            Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 18, 2012, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Ruth Jones officiating. The family will receive friends following the services.

            Bill Brown was born in Middletown, Ohio in 1931, son of the late James Robert Brown and Helen Null Brown. He traveled the carnival circuit and settled in Dothan in 1955. Bill and his family devoted their lives to establishing Bob-A-Lu Skate Center. In his later years Bill enjoyed riding his motorcycle and playing online poker. Bill will be greatly missed.

            Surviving relatives include three daughters, Carolyn Brown Eidson and husband Jack, Houston, TX; Lisa Brown Cobb, Columbia, AL; Bobbie Jo Brown Saxon and husband, Dwayne, Headland; two sons, George W. Brown, Jr., Midland City; Lance Lint (Tammie), Blakely, GA; six granddaughters, a grandson and a great-grandson.
