The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00-11:00 am on Saturday. Flowers are being accepted or memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Georgia Ann Avery, age 83, passed away on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 in Dothan, Alabama.
Funeral services will be held 11:00am on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Petty Funeral Homes in Atmore. Interment will follow in Godwin Cemetery in Bratt, Florida. Mrs. Avery was born May 1, 1938 in Atmore, Alabama to Archie Eugene Godwin and Eunice Wiggins Godwin. She was a retired bookkeeper and enjoyed pretty punch and crocheting, ceramic shop, and dancing.
Survivors include her son: Donald C. Beck (Sharon); three grandchildren: Brandy Hackett (Josh), Shain Beck (Courtney), and Nikalie Beck (India); and nine great-grandchildren: Gaydin, Crager, Lilly, Trystyn, Landon, Elizabeth, Bronwyn, Harmony, and Keilan; and one great-great-grandchild: Flynn. Mrs. Avery was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, William Earl “Butch” Avery.
