SHORTERVILLE… Gerald F. Trammell, resident of Shorterville, died Friday, March 22, 2024, at his home. He was 86.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, March 25, 2024, in the Shorterville Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend George Bryan officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside service. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.
Gerald Trammell was born and reared in Henry County, near Abbeville, son of the late George Marvin Trammell and Mattie Burke Trammell. He was a graduate of Abbeville High School and served his country in the Army National Guard in the Abbeville unit. Gerald was a member of the Shorterville Baptist Church and enjoyed bowling, fishing and hunting. He was retired from the City of Eufaula as the Supply Manager with the Water Board. Gerald was engaged in farming most of his adult lifetime. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Phillips “Libby” Trammell, a granddaughter, Kendall Bunch, and three brothers, Kenneth Trammell, Leland Trammell and Tommy Trammell.
Surviving relatives include a son, Lee Trammell (Selena), Navarret, FL; a brother, Joe Trammell, Ocean Springs, MS; grandchildren, William Trammell (Heather), Maria Oliva (Tony), and Jaydon Bunch; great-grandchildren, Tanner Trammell, Issabelle Oliva, Isaac Oliva, Isaiah Oliva and Illiana Oliva; a brother-in-law, Robert E. Phillips, Jr., Shorterville.
