Gerald “Jerry” Wayne High, a resident of Daleville, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at a local hospital. He was 39 years old.

Gerald “Jerry” Wayne High, a resident of Daleville, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at a local hospital. He was 39 years old.


A celebration of his life will be held at 5 pm on Monday, July 27, 2020 at First United Methodist Church in Daleville with Rev. Lee Jones officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 4-5 pm. Flowers are being accepted or monetary contributions may be made to an account set up to aid in his medical expenses at All In Credit Union in Daleville, AL.


Jerry was born on October 7, 1980 in Minnesota and lived the early years of his life there. He was a wonderful, loving husband and devoted father. Jerry loved his family dearly and loved spending time with them. He was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed fishing. Jerry was in the construction business for most of his life.


Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence High.


Survivors include his wife of 14 years, Christy High; his daughter, Katelyn High; his son, Terrance High; his mother, Susan High; his four siblings, Chuck (Anne) High, Will (Christy) High, Rose (Tim) Thoreson, and Sarah (Corey) High; and several nieces, nephews, and lots of other family also survive.
