GERALDINE BAXLEY YATES
AUBURN…Geraldine Baxley Yates, a resident of Auburn, formerly of Blue Springs, Alabama, died early Monday morning, July 1, 2013, at the home of a daughter in Auburn. She was 58.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 2, 2013, in the Antioch Primitive Baptist Cemetery, near Clayton, with Reverend Earl Oakes officiating. Holman- Abbeville Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at the mortuary in Abbeville.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Advantage, 655 Opelika Road, Suite 200, Auburn, Alabama 36830.
Mrs. Yates, daughter of the late Tommy Cain Baxley and Mildred Beatrice Helms Baxley, was a native of Blue Springs where she lived until moving to Auburn in 2011. She was formerly employed by WestPoint Stevens in Abbeville and was a member of the Anderson Baptist Church.
Surviving relatives include two daughters, Melissa Oates, Auburn; and Heather Oates, Opelika; five sisters, Reba Campbell (Buck), Ariton; Marie Collins (Bert), Eva, Al; Elaine Ryals, Ft. Mitchell, Al; Ruby Nell Olds, Louisville, Al and Gloria Peters, Blue Springs, Al; a brother, Dennis Baxley (Georgiann), Abbeville, Al; five grandchildren, Destiny Strong, Kaelyn Griffin, Devin Griffin, Makenzie Baker and Brooklyn Baker.
