Germa “Bobbi” Frenchie Stevens Driskell
“Bobbi” Frenchie Driskell, age 82 a lifelong resident of the Bay Springs Community of Houston County died Saturday afternoon February 2, 2019 at her home under the care of Kindred Hospice.
A private family graveside service will be held Tuesday February 5, 2019 in the Bay Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Dr. Scott Cox officiating and Family First Funeral & Cremation Care orchestrating.
Mrs. Driskell was born in Houston County daughter of the late Lester Stevens and Annie Peterman Stevens and was a proud graduate of Wicksburg High School. Bobbi soon began a rewarding career in banking which spanned 39 years. Her first job was with First Nation Bank and she later retired as part of the management team from South Trust Bank. She loved growing her own vegetables and flowers and was a member of Bay Springs Baptist Church. Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her, husband Daunice “D.O.” Driskell.
Survivors include her son Donnie (Pamela) Driskell of the Bay Springs Community, 2 brothers James Q. (Evelyn) Stevens of Blakely, Ga., Roger (Cathy) Stevens of the Bay Springs Community, 2 sisters Ruby Hidle of Slocomb, Sylvia (Joshua) Collins of Germantown, TN., 2 grandchildren Anna Copeland of Dothan and Ciara (Devan) Beitel of Orlando, FL.
The family would like to express their appreciation for all of Bobbi’s friends and colleagues who continued to show their love and support up to her last day.
Care for the Driskell family is being provided by Randy Crenshaw, Jason Shepard and the staff of Family First.
