The sun rose on June 25, 1923 for Gladys Martin and the sun set August 1, 2014. She was 91.

Graveside services will be held at 3 P.M. Monday, August 4, 2014 at Memory Hill Cemetery with Reverend Kevin Knight officiating and Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

Survivors include daughter, Kathryn Dean of Dothan; sister, Vassie Smith of Pensacola, FL; brother, James Register and his wife Jean of Indian Springs, FL; grandson, Patrick Dean and his wife Lauren of Front Royal, VA; granddaughter Cheri Dawson and her husband Greg of Nashville, TN; grandchildren Sarah, William, and Andrew Dawson and several nieces and nephews.
