GLADYS MULLENS PLUMMER
NEWVILLE. . .Gladys Mullens Plummer, a resident of Newville, died late Tuesday night, July 31, 2012. She was 87.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, August 3, 2012, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Phil Craddock officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Friday at the mortuary.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Gentiva Hospice, P.O. Drawer 2127, Dothan, AL. 36302.
Mrs. Plummer was born and reared in Wayne County, West Virginia, daughter of the late Floyd Mullens and Ida O’Dell Mullens. A former resident of Headland, she lived in Huntington, West Virginia and Palm Bay, Florida before returning to Headland in 1993. She moved to Newville in 2009. Mrs. Plummer was a member of the Headland United Methodist Church and was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star in West Virginia. Mrs. Plummer was preceded in death by her husbands, Harold Hines Craft and Howard Earl Plummer, a son, Steve Harold Craft, two sisters, Velora Plummer and Ruth Powers and two brothers, James Mullens and Howard Mullens.
Surviving relatives include her daughter, Pamela S. Plummer, Newville; a brother, Sam Mullens and wife, Glenda, Huntington, West Virginia; a brother-in-law, Harvey Powers, Colorado; many grandchildren, many great-grandchildren.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Scottie Ellison, Danny Ellison, Floyd Stupka, Rick Plummer, Ed Ritchie and Shane Wolfe.
