Glenn Ray Worley

Glenn Ray Worley passed away peacefully in Dothan, Alabama on the evening of Saturday, August 20th, 2022. He was 77 years old.

Glenn was born February 27th, 1945 in Andalusia, Alabama to Robert and Juanita Worley. As a boy, he rode his horse bareback to school and across the wilderness of Five Runs, AL. After graduating from Straughn High School, he joined the US Army. He served from 1965 to 1969, including two years overseas in Asmara, Ethiopia as a morse code operator. After receiving an honorable discharge, he earned a BS in Business Administration from Troy University, and led several small businesses in both Montgomery and Dothan, AL.

After retiring in Dothan, he enjoyed gardening on ten acres with a trusty Ford tractor passed down from his father. His mastery of steak grilling was said to exceed that of fine steakhouses across the US.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Juanita Worley.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Worley; his children, Courtney (Nick) Carlisle and Barrett (Abby) Worley; his one grandchild, Poppy; his brother, Harold (wife Louise); and his sister, Flay; along with many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of his life will be scheduled for a later date.
