HEADLAND… Gloria Ann Grantham Campbell, a resident of Headland, Alabama passed away Tuesday evening, July 16, 2024, at Baptist Medical Center – Jacksonville, Florida. She was 80.
Memorial Services will be held 3:00 P.M. Saturday, July 20, 2024, in the Worship Center of the First Baptist Church – Headland, with Reverend Norman C. Simmons and Dr. Cecil M. Sanders officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3:00 P.M. prior to the service. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Campbell was born in Gantt, Alabama to the late Martis Grantham and Mary Elna Brunson Grantham. Gloria was a caregiver, not only at the end, but her whole life. She was very active in the family business for years with the Campbells Ambulance Service which serviced the Headland, Kinsey, Newville, Tumbleton and Henry County, Alabama areas. She loved helping her community and helping those in the community that needed helping the most. She was a licensed EMT and in her later years was a caregiver. She was a member of the First Baptist Church – Headland, where she was a very active member of the Teresa Morris Sunday School Class.
Along with her parents she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Leonard “JR.” Grantham and Roger Grantham.
Leaving to cherish her memories is her husband, Bobby Campbell; her daughters, Tammy Elkins (Andy) and Paula Shute; her sister, Patricia Douglas; her grandchildren, Erikka Knight (Jeffrey), Kristen Ferguson (Jessi), Jordan Wellander, Alexander Elkins, Eden Elkins, Leah H. Bond (Christopher), and Judd Hinson; and six great-grandchildren.
