COLUMBIA…Gloria Jalene Blair Clanton of Columbia, died Monday afternoon, October 5, 2020, in a Dothan Hospital. She was 71.

     The family is honoring her request for a simple cremation with no services scheduled. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.

     Gloria was born and reared in Roanoke, daughter of the late William Thomas Norred and Julia Bell Henry Norred. She was a graduate of Handley High School in Roanoke. Gloria had lived in Panama City, Florida prior to moving to Columbia. She retired from Liberty National Life Insurance Company as a Sales Agent and loved cheering for the University of Alabama Football Team. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Stephen Norred.

     Survivors include her husband, David William Clanton of Columbia; her son, Donald Trenton “Trent” Blair (Dedra) of Dothan; a brother, William Keith Norred (Tina) of Newell, AL.; three grandchildren, Joshua Blair of Charlotte, NC; Dalton Spann of Headland; Mary Beth Blair of Dothan; her sister-in-law, Debra Hollermon of Atlanta, GA; several nieces and nephews; a special angel, Wendy Blair of Headland.
