Gloria Jean Sheffield, age 60, died at her home in Newton, AL on Tuesday, June 9, 2015.  Mrs. Sheffield was a lifelong resident of Ozark and Dale County.

 

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, June 12, 2015, in the Chapel of Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in the Newton City Cemetery.  Visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday, June 11, 2015, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. 

 

Gloria was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother.  She had been a homemaker for most of her life and was a member of Lighthouse Holiness Church.  Mrs. Sheffield was preceded in death by her parents, AnnieBell and J. C. Senn. 

 

Gloria is survived by her husband, Charlie Sheffield, of Newton; her daughter, Tracy Sheffield (Dawn Hendrix), of Midland City; her sons, Charlie Sheffield, Jr., of Port St. Joe, FL and Joseph Sheffield (Michelle), of Dothan; a step-son, Justin Senn (Stephanie), of Dothan; six sisters and five brothers; nine grandchildren, Joshua Coby Sheffield, Jodie Lowe, Nicole Farre, Alexis Sheffield, Cayla Arnold, JJ Hendrix, Holly Hendrix, Chase Hendrix & Bryson Senn; four great grand-children, Braylee Clark, Addison Lowe, Joey Farre & Isabella Hendrix; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
