Obituary: Grace A. Wilkins  

 

           

            Mrs. Grace A. Wilkins of Ozark, AL, formerly of New Brockton, passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2012. She was 84.

 

            Graveside services will be held 11:30 a.m. Thursday, October 11 at New Haven Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Hubert McWaters officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home of Enterprise directing. The family will receive friends at Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel in Enterprise from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to New Haven Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.

 

            Mrs. Wilkins was born September 12, 1928 to the late James and Mary Nettie Sutley Adkison in Coffee County, AL. Mrs. Wilkins was a member of First Baptist Church in New Brockton. She was a lifelong resident of New Brockton except for the last nine years she lived in Ozark. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her parents, husband, George Henry (Pete) Wilkins; one sister, Frances Olene Howell and one brother, Fred N. Adkison all preceded her in death.

 

            Survivors include; four sons: Glen Wilkins (Dorothy), Elba, Gary Wilkins, Daleville, Guy Wilkins (Angie), Simpsonville, SC and Mike Wilkins (Melissa), Ozark; one daughter, Jean Mitchell (Robert), Marianna, FL; one brother, Dan A. Adkison (Carolyn), Plano, TX; one sister, Jeanette Harrison, New Brockton; five grandchildren: five great-great grandchildren: special caregiver, Lisa Boutwell, Enterprise and a special pet Jack-Rat Terrier, Jackie.
