Harlan Alfred Booth of Geneva, AL passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at his home. He was 79 years old.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 17, 2023, in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Red Coleman and Rev. Alan Marsh officiating. Burial will follow in the Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, December 16, 2023, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.
Mr. Booth was born in Geneva County, AL on March 6, 1944, to the late James Robert and Annie Laura Clark Booth. Harlan was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and song leader for many years. He loved his family dearly, but his grandchildren were his bright spot. He always enjoyed supporting them in their extra-curricular activities.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Ann Hawkins, Virginia Booth, Margaret Wilson, and Martha Blocker; three brothers, Herman, Michelle, and Huey Booth.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 56 years, Betty Booth of Geneva, AL; one daughter, Deanna Woodham (Jeff) of Ozark, AL; one son, Michael Booth (Melinda) of Geneva, AL; five grandchildren, Easton Booth, Kolton Booth, Kelsie Woodham, Bryce Woodham (Regan), and Wes Turner (Stella); five great-grandchildren, Cameron Woodham, Everett Woodham, Harlan Turner, Lola Biggs, and Ava Jade Wallace; two sisters, Ellen Ferrell and Laura Messer (Sammy); two brothers, Wayne Booth (Raquel) and Terry Booth; and many special nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of SouthernCare Hospice, especially Janarie, RN and to a special friend, Corey Mashburn, for their devoted love and care.
