Harold C. Murray, 97 of Daleville passed away Sunday July 7, 2013 at his home in Geneva County.

A private memorial service will be held at Sunset Memorial Park. Memorial donations can be made to the S.O.S. 25944 Highway 134, Enterprise, AL 36330.

Mr. Murray was born January 31, 1916 in Saginaw, MI and lived there until 1950. He was a manufacturing engineer and was employed by General Motors until 1950 when he went to work for Convair in San Diego, CA. He continued working when Convair became General Dynamics. His work took him to Window Rock, AZ, Quincy, MA, and finally Charleston, SC; where he retired in 1982. He moved to Daleville in 2008. Mr. Murray was preceded in death by a daughter Jenny Stuart and his wife of 73 years Violet Murray.

Survivors include a son Wayne H. (Lisa Bailey) Murray of Daleville; grandchildren, Judith Mason, Paul Murray, Robert (Lita) Murray, and Kimberly Bowen; great-grandchildren, Jessica Pharris, Morgan James Murray, Matthew David Murray, and Dulcie Bowen.
