HEADLAND. . .Harold Franklin “Frank” McInnes, Jr., a resident of Headland, died early Tuesday night, December 13, 2016, in a Dothan hospital. He was 58.


            Funeral services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Friday, December 16, 2016, in the Mt. Ararat Baptist Church, in Webb, with Reverend Hugh D. Kirkland, Jr. and Reverend Ray Cobb officiating. Graveside services, with Masonic Rites, will follow in the church cemetery. Holman-Headland Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:30 P.M. Friday in the church sanctuary.


            Mr. McInnes was born in Laurel, Mississippi and moved to Webb with his family as a child. He was a 1977 graduate of the Houston County High School in Columbia and also attended Wallace Community College where he received an Electronics Certificate. Mr. McInnes was employed most of his lifetime by nuclear plants in the U.S. as an Engineer, most recently at the Vogtle Nuclear Plant in Waynesboro, GA. In earlier years, he was the owner and operator of General Fabrications in Dothan. He was also self-employed as an HVAC technician. Mr. McInnes was a member of the Mt. Ararat Baptist Church and was a Master Mason in the Ashford Masonic Lodge No. 493. His hobbies were fishing, hunting and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Mr. McInnes was preceded in death by his mother, Jean Darby McInnes.


            Surviving relatives include his wife, Joanne Shirah McInnes; a daughter, Samantha McInnes Crawford, Dothan, (Chris Crawford), Webb; a son, Josh McInnes, Headland; his father, Harold F. McInnes, Sr, Headland; two sisters, Cindy Buie, Webb; and Laura McInnes, Headland; two brothers, Pat McInnes (Tanna), Dayton, TN; and Danny McInnes (Lynn), Dothan; five grandchildren, Macy Hall (Tyler), Harley Crawford, Carley Crawford, Christopher “Bubba” Crawford, Jr., and Samfrank Crawford.


            Serving as active pallbearers will be Wayne Whitman, Calvin Owens, Dustin Owens, Brent Shirah, Phil Pelham and Tommy Shirah.
