Burial will follow at Big Creek United Methodist Church Cemetery in Cottonwood. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted, or donations may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.

Randy, 63, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2024 surrounded by family. He fought his fight with grace and courage.

Randy is survived by his loving wife Daphne Jordan of 41 years. He supported her in all endeavors over the last 4 decades. They were truly partners in every aspect of their life they shared together. Randy and Daphne instilled the values of always doing the right thing for the right reasons, and to always help others without expecting anything in return while raising their two children. He is also survived by his daughter Ashton Cooper (Andrew) and son, Brice Jordan. Randy also has four grandchildren Abygail, Amelia, Henry, and Jackson; he was known to them as Papa or Papa-Bug, they were the apple of his eye, and he enjoyed teaching them new things every chance he got.

Randy was an active member of Madrid Baptist Church and before moving back to the Dothan area, he was a member of Aaron Lake Baptist Church in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Randy had a servant’s heart to provide a lending hand to those in need. The limelight was not his favorite place to be, behind the scenes doing what he could always made him smile.

He loved playing golf, riding his Harley, and took pride in maintaining his yard as well as completing Daphne’s Home Improvements list. He proudly served his country for 22 years in the Army with 82nd Airborne and 1st Special Operations Command at Ft. Bragg. After retiring from the military, he served an additional 20 years as a Facility Manager—CBRNE at Joint Special Operations Command.

Randy is also survived by his brothers Scotty Jordan (Donna), Wendall Jordan (Cheryl), Kimmy Jordan (Jennifer) and sister Karen Warren (Hayward). The close family that Randy is survived by includes his Uncle Richard Bryant (Marion), Uncle JK Bryant (Linda), father in law Lafayette Thomley (Amerlis), sister in law Betsey Marshall (Jon), as well as several nieces and nephews. Randy is also survived by a lifetime of other and additional friends in Fayetteville, NC and throughout the United States.
