Harold W. Smith, Sr., a resident of Hartford, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2014 at his home. He was 67.

Memorial services will be held at 11am on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 10-11am on Wednesday.

Mr. Smith was born November 10, 1946 in Covington County and lived in Florida and Alabama most of his life. He resided in Hartford since 1999. Mr. Smith was employed as a carpenter most all of his life until his retirement.

Survivors include his wife, Azella Smith; his son, Harold Wayne Smith, Jr; his daughter, Dianne Marie Smith; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; his brother, Farrell Smith; his two sisters, Margaret L. Marshburn and Jimmie Sue Faingnaert.
