Harvey Wendell Seay, age 78, of Robbinsville, NC, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 3rd, 2021, at Mission Memorial Hospital in Asheville, NC.
Harvey Seay was born on September 30th, 1942 to the late Early Seay & Inez Seay. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Seay, and his sister, Lois Johnson. Harvey was born and raised in Geneva, AL. He served his country in the U.S. Army during 1959-1962.
Harvey is survived by his loving spouse of thirty-three years, Anita Seay. As well as his six living siblings: his sister, Linda Prater of Enterprise, AL, his brother, Ronnie Seay & his wife, Susan and sister, Doris Bryan all from Geneva, AL, and his brothers David Seay, Gary Seay and wife Marie, and Larry Seay all from Dothan AL.
Harvey is also survived by four children: his daughter, Sonya Robinson & husband, Wilkes and son, Stacy Seay all of Dothan, AL, and son, Toby Seay & wife, Katrina of Papau New Guinea, and son, Kevin Phillips & wife, Beth of Robbinsville, NC. Harvey also had eight grandchildren: Casey O’Neal & husband, Jerod of Midland City, AL, Cameron Philippona of Houston, TX, Dustin Seay of Florida, Macy Seay & Kaylee Seay both of Dothan, AL, Dominque Phillips & wife, Erin, and Gayton Leming all of Robbinsville, NC, and Tapaingya Tatham & husband, Trent of Andrews, NC. Harvey also had two great grandchildren: Ava Garner of Midland City, AL and Ryland Phillips of Robbinsville, NC.
Harvey was a member of Sweet Gum Baptist Church. He was truly loved by all and offered a hand to anyone who needed helped. He was the perfect example of what a Godly man should be. All who knew him, would tell you that he was a hardworking man who loved God, his family, and his church. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, church, and all those he encountered in his life. Harvey left an impression that will never be forgotten.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 7th, 2021 at Sweet Gum Baptist Church at 2:00 pm. Family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, prior to the funeral. Burial will be at Wiggins Cemetery following the funeral services. Reverends Coy Adams and Patrick O’Dell will officiate.
