Hazel Baker Dooling, 96, died Monday, October 20, 2014 at her daughters home in Opp, AL. She was a resident of Geneva, AL since 1956. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at Westside United Methodist Church at 2:00 pm with the Reverend Dr. Jerry Dooling and Rev. Bradley Chamblee officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to; Westside United Methodist Church, 1010 West Maple Ave, Geneva, AL 36340, Opp First United Methodist Church, 209 East Ida Ave, Opp, AL 36467 or Daysprings Hospice, 201 West Lee St, Enterprise, AL 36331.
She was an active member of Westside United Methodist Church in Geneva and served in many volunteer activities of the church.
Mrs. Dooling was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Dooling in 1990; her sister, Jeanette Brown Elam of Panama City, FL in September 2014; her son-in-law, Max Metcalf in 2013 and her brother, Billy Rae Baker.
She is survived by her only child, Angeline Dooling Metcalf of Opp, AL; grandson, Chad Metcalf (Kim) of Santa Rosa Beach, FL; sisters, Lorraine Jeffers of Dothan, Johnnie Daughtry of Columbus, GA, Sue Haywood of Geneva and JoAnn Dasinger (Robert Earl) of Dothan.
