HAZEL L. CAWLEY
OZARK…Hazel L. Cawley, a resident of Ozark died early Friday morning, June 7, 2013, in a Dothan hospital, surrounded by her loving children. She was 73.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Sunday, June 09, 2013, in the Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with her nephew, Reverend Wayne Sims and Reverend T.P. Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the Midland City Cemetery. Holman-Headland Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 P.M. Saturday at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home in Ozark. At other times, the family will be at the home of a daughter, Janice Parrish, 3603 County Road 11, Ariton, AL 36311.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, P.O. Box 661465, Birmingham, AL 35226.
Mrs. Cawley was a native of Midland City, Alabama, daughter of the late John Frank Sims and Doshie Theo Childree Sims. She moved to Enterprise at an early age where she lived until relocating to Ozark in 1986. Mrs. Cawley was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-six years, Charles Cawley; three sisters, Nettie Lou Wright, Katie Bell Cook, and Pauline Sims; a brother, Paul Sims and his wife, Jeanette Sims.
Surviving relatives include two daughters, Janice Parrish and husband, Eddie, Ariton; Judy Watson, Ozark; five sons, Eugene Cawley and wife, Vickie, Georgetown, GA; Jimmy Ray Cawley; Joe Frank Cawley; John Cawley, all of Ozark; and Alex Cawley and wife Traci, Newton; two sisters, Betty Fowler, St. Augustine, FL; Joann and Seabern Wooten, Anderson, SC; nine grandchildren, Josh Cawley, Michelle Hataway, Allison Cawley, Daniel Hataway, Erin Linn, Rylan Cawley, Brandon Floyd, Tommy Floyd, and Ashley Richter; eleven great-grandchildren, Nathan, Jaylen, Elizabeth, Gabby, Dakotah, Alyssa, DeAnna, Jonathan, Andrew, Aeris, and Allison; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law from the Cawley and Johnson families.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Braxton B. Bell, Jr., Thomas Alvarado, Josh Cawley, Tommy Floyd, Aaron Linn, and Terry Watson.
