Hazel Richard, age 87 of Enterprise, AL passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at Elba Nursing Home and Rehab.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, September 29, 2023 at Faithview Holiness Church with Rev. Joey Turman officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Baptist Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing.
Hazel was born July 2 1936 in Darlington, FL and was a long-time resident of Enterprise, AL. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. For almost 20 years, she was a member of the Christ Community Church of God and for more than 25 years was a faithful member of Faithview Holiness Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Richard, Sr.; son Jimmie Lee Richard; parents, Dixie and Albert Johnson; siblings, Mildred Toole, Edward Johnson, Jerry Johnson and Frances Smith.
She is survived by her sons, George Richard, Jr., Brundidge, AL, Steve Richard (Robin) and Tim Richard (Charlotte) both of Enterprise, AL; grandchildren, Cary Williamson (Jeff), Christie McLendon (Randall), Jonathan Richard (Melissa), Jimmie Richard, Jeannie Richard, Jeremy Richard, Jessica Grana (Mark) and Nick Andrews (Cara); numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Dorothy McDougald, Roy Johnson; and many nephews and nieces and her beloved Chihuahuas, Daisy and Dixie; and a special aunt, Brunetta Brannon.
Pallbearers are Jeff Williamson, Jason Williamson, Randall McLendon, Mark Grana, Nick Andrews, and Hunter McClure.
Also, a very special thank you to her granddaughter, Jessica Grana for the loving care she gave to her grandmother. We would also like to give a very special heartfelt thank you to the DaySpring Palliative Care and Hospice teams who were instrumental in making sure she had the best care possible, and the Center Home Care team, especially Kim Prescott, who was an exceptional caregiver and became a wonderful friend.
